Monthly or annual — what's the difference?

Billing is monthly by default, and you can cancel anytime — annual exists purely for the 20% discount. Every annual price above is one upfront yearly payment, not twelve monthly charges.

Is validation really free, on every plan?

Yes — with a free API key, validating an invoice is unlimited and free on every tier, forever (dynamic keys are exempt from metering, by design). The anonymous demo in your browser (no key) is fair-use limited to 50 validations/day per IP — get a free key for unlimited validation. The quotas above cover only generate, convert and render.
