Who we are

CrateAPI is an independent software project in public validation (pre-launch), operated by an individual developer in the EU. There is no company entity yet. Contact: contact@crateapi.com.

What we collect

• Account email — when you sign in, by magic link or Google sign-in. With Google sign-in we only receive your email address and account identifier, never your password.
• Waitlist email — if you join the waitlist, plus your optional consent to be notified at launch.
• Interest survey answers (optional) — the API you're interested in, your country/format, and your estimated monthly volume, linked to your account email if you choose to answer.
• Standard server access logs — IP address, URL, and user agent, kept for operating and securing the service, rotated automatically.
• Per-IP quota counters for demos — used to enforce the free-use limits, reset daily and monthly.

What we don't do

No analytics, ads, or tracking cookies — the only cookie we set is the signed session that keeps you logged in.

Documents and data you submit through the demos and the API — invoices, PDFs, URLs, emails to verify — are processed to produce a response and are not stored afterwards.

Where your data lives

CrateAPI runs on our own server hosted in the EU (Finland). Sign-in emails are delivered through a transactional email provider.

Your rights

You can ask for your data to be deleted or exported at any time — email contact@crateapi.com. This is a small project run by one person, so requests are handled manually: expect a personal reply, not an automated ticket system.
